International Club

Matignon High School’s diverse community is one of its greatest assets. The mission of the school’s International Club is to improve cultural awareness throughout the school as well as the community at large. Korea, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Nigeria and Ethiopia name only a few of the nations represented by international students that participate.

The International Club provides opportunities for members to learn about new cultures while sharing the traditions of their own. Each month the club visits a unique ethnic restaurant. This social environment allows students to try something new while discovering the diversity among them.

The International Club also hosts the annual International Festival in the school cafeteria. At the 2006 International Festival, over 40 nations were represented with displays, music and traditional foods. This was an exciting chance for the entire student body to get a taste of the many cultures presented.
